IV THERAPY & BLOOD WITHDRAWAL LVN
Destiny Career Academy is pleased to offer in our IV THERAPY & BLOOD WITHDRAWAL course for LVN certification in the
inland Empired. This course has been BVNPT (Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians) approved in California for LVNs. Students who complete the course will be certified in IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal, authorizing them to offer this service in their practice.

This is a 4-day, 36-hour course that is delivered in the classroom – the California BVNPT no longer recognizes home study or online courses.

Because this course results in 36 credit hours, each day will consist of a full nine hours of classroom time – breaks will be offered, but will not form part of the nine hour day.

In order to pass, students will need to demonstrate, successfully, three IV insertions and three blood withdrawals. Students will practice inserting IVs and drawing blood on one another. Students who, for whatever reason, would prefer not to have these procedures performed upon them, can bring someone with them for the clinical portion of the course.
